Invest in the lives of the Nespelem People!
God is moving mightily in Nespelem—join Him and build up the Body. The core of this mission is small team, relational investment in specific families. Your team will divide into smaller units and match up for the week with local families, including the two young missionary families now living in Nespelem.
The point—get to know the family well. Spend a lot of time with them. Help out in practical ways. Have a lot of fun with them. Help with the kids or give parents time to go do something together, just enjoy life out while your team watches the kids. Take the family on an outing. Ask them to show you important places, give you the history of the area, show you where they grew up. Meet the grandparents and close friends. Have a home pizza and movie party! With costumes to match the movie! Share your lives with them; learn about their struggles. Tell them about yours. Tell how Jesus helped you through the tough times, how faithful, loving, and kind He is.
Living in Nespelem, the tribal headquarters community, plan to bless Dan Nanamkin, the Director (and his staff) of the Nespelem Community Center, the social and activities hub of the area. The need for cleaning, repairs, and event set-up is ongoing. Your help will make a big difference.
Your team can enjoy the great reputation prior Adventures teams have established in this community. And our partnership with Pastor Bob and Mina Twitchell. So, you’ll be accepted and you’ll find it relatively easy to meet and get to know locals.
Will you encourage the families living in Nespelem?
