Alabama – Adults

An Adventure Awaits You In Alabama!

On Wednesday, April 27, 2011, tornadoes ripped through the Northeastern Alabama region, leaving a 38-mile wake of destruction.  The devastating effects of these tornadoes left more than 30 people dead, hundreds injured and thousands with major property losses.

Our current efforts focus on rebuilding people's lives in Northern Alabama, an area that already had a problem with urban poverty before the storms.  Most families there have owned their homes for three generations but have no insurance and no proof of ownership.  This makes them ineligible for government assistance with rebuilding, and it often forces people to continue living in homes that are falling apart or missing walls.

You Will Make A Difference:

Your ministry will be highly relational, coupled with intense manual labor.  During your time in Alabama, you will be participating in a wide variety of ministries. This may include helping rebuild homes, VBS with local community children, and outreach to the impoverished community. Some homes require skilled laborers, and others need help with dry-wall, painting, windows and carpet.  As we help people rebuild, we want to love and encourage them in the name of Jesus.  Our teams will demonstrate the kind of unconditional love for strangers that reflects the heart of God and draws people to new relationships with Christ.

The close-knit communities of Alabama always take care of one another, but now they need outside help.  Will you be one of those who steps up to the plate in their time of greatest need?

Our staff has already begun planning for your arrival.  APPLY NOW and start preparing for your adventure.  If you have questions, please click HERE for more information.
