Famous for its surfing, canopy tours, and of course, the coffee, Nicaragua is a land of adventure.
But those who live there are desperately poor. Many live on less than two dollars a day.
They need to know they are loved, that they matter and that they aren’t forgotten.
Even those who live in paradise need hope.
What you will do in Nicaragua:
- Ministry: You’ll be serving withCicrin, on the island of Ometepe. They have a children’s home onsite, a primary school and the first two years of secondary school also onsite which provides Christian education and lunch for 100 of the kids in the community.
Ministry will be a mix of working with the school, afternoon kids programs, activities with the residential kids, possible labor projects on the property, and house visits in the community.
- Adventure: You will live your faith as you explore the wonders of Nicaragua, whether that be at the beach, surfing down a volcano, or shopping in the local markets.
- Culture: You’ll experience the warm and welcoming culture of this beautiful country, complete with its delicious food and laid-back atmosphere.
This trip is for you if:
- You love playing with children.
- You speak Spanish (or you’d like to learn to speak Spanish).
- You love coffee and coffee culture.
- You want to go surfing down a volcano.
- You want to grow closer to Jesus while sharing His love with others.
