If you feel that stirring inside your heart for more, you’re hungry to experience God moving all over the world, and you want to share the life-changing love of Jesus with people you meet, then you absolutely do not want to pass up this opportunity to join our trip to Eswatini (formally named Swaziland.)
What will I do in Eswatini?
The Adventures Base in Eswatini has been there for over 10 years! This long-term Base focuses on orphan care and has created different hubs called Carepoints that focus on local infrastructure, discipleship, church growth, and sustainability projects.
Check out a more detailed description of what ministry looks like in Eswatini below:
Children’s Ministry: You will spend most of your time serving at the Carepoints. This may look like playing with the kids, teaching them, and serving the children who come for a daily meal and a safe place to just be kids.
Community Outreach: You will get to visit homes and hospitals in the community to meet people, hear their stories, and pray for them.
Agricultural Ministry: Our Carepoints work to develop sustainability within their communities and a major project is gardening. *Your team will potentially have the opportunity to help tend this garden depending on the time of year.*
Where will I stay?
You will be staying at a homestead with bunk beds. You will need to bring sheets or a lightweight sleeping bag and a pillow (temperatures can get in the 40s at night, so plan for cooler weather). There are bathrooms in the house with toilets and showers.
The house is equipped with running water and electricity. This is dependent on the city’s infrastructure, which is usually reliable. If outages occur, they don’t last long and water can be purchased from the store if needed. Your team will do laundry by hand-washing with buckets. There will be purified water easily accessible. There is wifi located in town, which is about 20-30 minutes from where you will stay. A hospital is 20 minutes away in case of an emergency.
How can I make a difference?
God doesn’t just move on the mission field – He moves right where you are today. But sometimes it takes a journey to discover how to see Him in the every day and how to live life on mission wherever He leads you next in the world.
Friend, you won’t regret it. You are a world changer. Now go and change the world.
