G’day, mate! Our guess is some things probably come to mind when you think about Australia. Kangaroos, the Coral Reef, maybe Hugh Jackman?
Australia is as exotic as you imagined it. While it boasts a more westernized culture, aboriginal people have lived and thrived on this continent [and country in one] for more than 50,000 years. However, the marginalized, impoverished, destitute and lost still exist and live each moment for the hope of hearing the good news. Maybe God wants to use you to share it with them.
You may fly into Sydney for this trip, but you won’t be spending time at the Opera House. Instead, you’ll be singing praises in the Australian Outback alongside of the aboriginal tribes from Bagot. Bagot is a small village community located just outside the city of Darwin.
Your team will partner with a local ministry known to have a heart and passion for reaching out to the children of Bagot. You may spend time doing outreach in the local park, reaching out to the community to share with them the love of Christ. This ministry does a weekly feeding program that you may also be a part of.
No matter what ministry looks like, the aboriginal people of Australia need to know the love of Christ that you have experienced. We want to send you. Are you ready to go?
