You’ve got a story to tell. It’s significant, powerful, and you want it to count for something.
You know about women who are suffering and being victimized, and your heart breaks for them.
That’s exactly how Ruth and her team felt on the very first Beauty for Ashes trip in 2014. They wanted to see women set free from the lies they had believed for years. On that trip, Ruth met a woman named Nancy. She realized this new friend had a story in need of God’s redemption. After her time with Ruth, Nancy began believing God’s truth — her story does matter.
Psalm 107:2 says “Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story.” Since 2014, Beauty for Ashes has reached over 5,000 women in 25 countries because of people like you, who are willing to share their story of redemption. We’ve hosted hundreds of retreats and small groups around the world, and have seen our curriculum proven as an effective tool God is using to foster lasting change in the lives of women.
God longs for His daughters to join Him in an intimate relationship. He desires to walk with them through healing and remind women of the identity and hope they have in Him.
If you want to join a Christ-centered community of women committed to taking God’s love to all of the nations, then it’s time for you to join us in …
Officially, Cuba is a secular nation. There is no national religion, although about 59% of the population would consider themselves Catholic. There is no organized faith. While it isn’t illegal to be a Christian in Cuba, they couldn’t openly share their faith until recently. Churches could not build church buildings, but they were free to meet in their homes. The Gospel has been expanding on the island through the underground church over the course of the last 50 years. The US Department of State estimates around 10,000 house churches exist on the island, and Protestant churches have been growing at an unprecedented rate.
While in Cuba, you will partner with a Cuban ministry organization that sends trained missionaries and pastors to plant churches throughout Cuba—and the rest of the world. You will serve in a town in the interior of the island. Your ministry will be with local women.
Home Visits: Visiting and encouraging local women through prayer, listening to their stories, and getting to know their families.
Bible Studies: Sharing and/or teaching women in Bible studies or church services.
Church Ministry: You will worship with local believers and visit different church plants. You’ll be able to meet local women, encourage, and pour into them wherever you go.
Prayer Ministry: Interceding for the women of Cuba
Your team will:
Host Beauty for Ashes retreats, creating a space for God to bring hope, healing, and redemption to the stories of local women.
Be equipped to share about topics such as worth, identity, healing and forgiveness with others through storytelling and vulnerability.
Build meaningful relationships with your team and those with whom you minister.
Gain a deeper understanding of who God is and who you are as His daughter.
God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth. Will you join Him in Cuba?
