Join a Beauty for Ashes trip to Uganda! (Women Only)
As one of the poorest countries in Eastern Africa, almost half of Uganda’s population lives on less than one dollar a day, and because of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, nearly half the population is also under the age of 14. With the lack of medical support and quality education, many women have been left as widows with little or no way of sustainable income.
They are hungry for hope.
Beauty for Ashes exists to share God’s restoration, hope, and healing with suffering and victimized women through ministry and training. Through Beauty for Ashes Retreats, women support and encourage each other by sharing their own stories and experiencing the healing, redeeming power of Jesus.
God is using Beauty for Ashes to ignite a movement of bringing hope to His daughters across the world. This is an opportunity for you to join a team to share God’s restoration, hope, and healing with the women of Uganda.
Join us in sharing the hope and power of the Gospel to set women free.
While in Uganda, you will partner with Cherished Life Ministries, an NGO and community based organization advocating for the rights of all citizens—especially the vulnerable groups like orphans, teen mothers, and widows.
Your team will serve through:
B4A Retreats:

Be trained to help host Beauty for Ashes retreats, allowing God to bring hope, healing, and redemption to your story.

Facilitate retreat activities with local Ugandan women and be a part of what God is doing to restore their lives and stories.

Learn to share about topics such as worth, identity, healing and forgiveness with others, through storytelling and vulnerability.

Build meaningful relationships with your team and those whom you minister to, and leave with a deeper understanding of who God is, and who you are as His daughter.
Children’s Ministry:
- You could play hang out and soccer with street kids, sharing the Gospel through a child’s favorite language: fun.
Work Projects:
- There might be an opportunity to help with community projects like water tank or a chicken coop construction.
