Join a Beauty for Ashes trip to Vietnam! (Women Only)
Vietnam’s story is one of searching and fighting for freedom.
After nearly a century of French rule, Vietnam split into the Communist (north) and non-Communist (south) in the 1950’s.
Conflict between the two sides led to the Vietnam War. But by 1975, Vietnam was restored as a completely Communist country.
Even with the economic reforms and restoration of diplomatic ties, human rights are limited in Vietnam—especially freedom of religion. Over 80% of Vietnamese don’t claim any religion; about 8% are Buddhist.
In recent decades, Southeast Asia has become a destination for human trafficking and sex tourism. The Red Light Districts in Vietnam are full of women desperate for freedom and real, unconditional love.
Beauty for Ashes exists to share God’s restoration, hope, and healing with suffering and victimized women through ministry and training. Through Beauty for Ashes Retreats, women support and encourage each other by sharing their own stories and experiencing the healing, redeeming power of Jesus.
This is an opportunity for you to join a team to share God’s restoration, hope, and healing with exploited women in Vietnam.
Will you share the love of Jesus with women in a country where it is illegal to openly share the Gospel?
While in Vietnam, you will partner with two ministries working with rescued women who have left the bars and are seeking restoration from human trafficking. These ministries not only provide counseling, but also teaching life skills, vocational training, English, and life skills. One ministry in particular also reaches out to street kids as well as local women.
Your team will:
- Be trained to help host Beauty for Ashes retreats, allowing God to bring hope, healing, and redemption to your story.
- Learn from the testimonies of those on your team, as you grow closer to the Lord and minister to one another.
- Facilitate retreat activities with the local Vietnamese women and be a part of what God is doing to restore their lives and stories.
- Learn to share about topics such as worth, identity, healing and forgiveness with others, through storytelling and vulnerability.
- Build meaningful relationships with your team and those whom you minister to, and leave with a deeper understanding of who God is, and who you are as His daughter.
This is an invitation for you to be a part of a journey to bring freedom, redemption, and hope to the hearts of your sisters in Vietnam.
