Join a Beauty for Ashes trip to Colombia! (Women Only)
From the Andes Mountains to the Amazon rainforest, Colombia is one of the most ecologically diverse countries in the world.
It is also home to unreached tribes, a large student population rapidly rejecting the Gospel, and thousands of children living on the streets. Colombia sits at the crossroads of Central and South America, making its culture almost as diverse as its natural resources.
Heavily influenced by Native American, Latin, European, African, Middle Eastern, and American cultures, 71% of its people practice Roman Catholicism. However, it is heavily influenced by tribal religions and focuses on works, instead of a relationship with Jesus.
The women of Colombia need discover God’s love for them, and the fact that they can have a relationship with Him.
Beauty for Ashes exists to share God’s restoration, hope, and healing with suffering and victimized women through ministry and training. Through Beauty for Ashes Retreats, women support and encourage each other by sharing their own stories and experiencing the healing, redeeming power of Jesus.
Will you share God’s love with women in Colombia?
Ministry:
On this missions trip, Beauty for Ashes will serve the women of The City of Refuge Mission in Medellin, Colombia. City of Refuge serves women coming out of homelessness, addiction, and in some cases, prostitution through a one-year Christ-centered restoration program. Through daily Bible classes, counseling, and life skills training, City of Refuge seeks to give women an opportunity to find total and complete healing in Christ.
Your team will:
- Be trained to help host Beauty for Ashes retreats, allowing God to bring hope, healing, and redemption to your story.
- Learn from the testimonies of those on your team, as you grow closer to the Lord and minister to one another.
- Facilitate retreat activities with the local Colombian women and be a part of what God is doing to restore their lives and stories.
- Learn to share about topics such as worth, identity, healing and forgiveness with others, through storytelling and vulnerability.
- Build meaningful relationships with your team and those whom you minister to, and leave with a deeper understanding of who God is, and who you are as His daughter.
