Cameroon is one of the most diverse countries in the world, combining people groups like the Pygmies, ancient tribal kingdoms and shepherding Muslims. Its diversity stretches to the landscape as well. Cameroon boasts the tallest mountain in West Africa (Mount Cameroon), as well as dense rainforests and safari plains.
In the midst of this unique geography, the country struggles with significant challenges. For instance, 60% of the population believes in either Islam or an indigenous religion. Those who have heard the Gospel have often only responded to a diluted “prosperity gospel” that does not provide them with a clear understanding of Christ. In addition, with the average daily income hovering around $3.20 a person, poverty cripples the people.
You Will Make A Difference:
During your ministry, you will spend mornings doing light construction and maintenance for people who cannot afford to repair their homes. In the afternoons, you will share the love of Christ with children through sports ministry.
