Gainesville is a city located about an hour north of Atlanta with a population of 30,000 on the banks Lake Lanier. Called the “Poultry Capital of the World”, the high-profile presence of the poultry industry in Gainesville has been the primary factor in driving the city’s startling growth.
Over the past decade, the official population of the city has nearly doubled, with more than half of it made up of immigrant Hispanic workers.
Join Adventures in Missions in our own backyard, home to over 100 staff where we host missions and discipleship training year around. Our team is passionate about seeing our hometown come to know the name of Jesus as we minister to the community around us.
Your team will have the opportunity to invest into the Gainesville community as you build relationships with local residents. Come work alongside the thousands of families living below the poverty line trying to make ends meet.
Bring hope to the children who are left at home during the day while their parents work in the factories by reminding them there is a Father who loves them.
You will be working in children’s ministries and other outreaches to help change the Gainesville community.
