Ministry Overview
Your mission trip will be a week-long urban mission event where middle and high school students learn, on a small scale, what it’s like to commit to urban ministry. We will focus on a different themes which may include education, economics, justice, entertainment, and healthcare that will challenge stereotypes. Participants learn from urban ministry workers what it means to address the needs of the urban poor through holistic, missional approaches.
What you will do:
Working alongside AIM staff and leaders in the community, participants do hands-on projects to meet people’s needs in the inner city. The goal is to allow youth to recognize the needs of the inner city and to help them decide whether they are called to be leaders in this environment.
How you can pray:
That lives will be holistically transformed on the North Side of Pittsburgh one person, one family, and one block at a time who, in turn, will make a powerful impact locally and globally for Jesus Christ.
