Swaziland Sustainability Trip

Making a difference in a community is about more than just providing the right tools for development and growth; it’s about teaching the community members how to use them to thrive. If you want to make a difference that you know will last long after you’ve gone home, this unique opportunity called a “sustainability trip” is the trip for you.

Nestled between South Africa and Mozambique, Swaziland is a small but beautiful country whose obscurity has left the nation and its people forgotten to many. Filled with rolling hills, gorgeous mountain views, and miles of breathtaking countryside, Swaziland’s incredible landscape clues us into God’s dream for one of the last remaining monarchies on the continent.

Plagued by the highest prevalence of HIV/AIDS in the world, the disease is decimating a generation. Thousands of HIV+ children are orphaned, relying on struggling extended family to raise them, or turning to the streets. As a result, Swaziland’s youngest generation is often left malnourished, uneducated, and without hope. You can join us in helping to reverse the trajectory of this beautiful and forgotten nation.

The team will partner with a local NGO and work alongside Adventures missionaries and Adventures Swazi national staff to help with numerous aspects of community outreach and development. They will focus on projects like rural irrigation, safe water and hygiene education, and a pre-established garden already feeding the community.

As a Swaziland Sustainability trip, a posture of learning is essential. Though you will be working alongside Adventures staff, some days it may feel like you are learning more than you are helping. Before the trip, you will receive pre-field literature and learn specifics about community development to prepare your heart and mind for this unique, engaging experience.

Jesus is in the business of bringing his kingdom to his people and the Swaziland Sustainability Project is a beautiful reality of His heart to feed the hungry and heal the sick.

Will you join us for this Adventure?
