What to expect on your trip:

Learn how to serve others the way Jesus served them. Learn how to share your story and share the hope of the gospel.

Dive deeper with God. Understand who He is in your life.

Learn how to be the church! Go and practice real Biblical community with others just like you.

Because of the extreme poverty, families often go into debt to pay for food and rent. When family debts are called in, their young girls are sent to Bangkok, Pattaya, or other tourist cities in order to provide for their families, often in harsh and even exploitative environments. The result is a seemingly never-ending cycle of unhealthy families, extreme poverty, and exploitation. These women need to be loved.
But Cambodia is struggling to heal from one of the worst genocides in modern history. In just a three-year period, one in every five people died, decimating the population and wounding the psyche of this small nation. A predominantly Buddhist culture, Cambodians struggle with the concept of hope for the future. They have never heard of grace. They have never felt forgiveness.
Here’s what you’ll do on a Passport trip:
- Work with ministry partners that want to bring hope to those trapped within oppressive cycles– poverty, harmful family patterns, and the sex trade industry.
- Visit with children in the slums
- Educate refugees
- Teach English
- Hang out with Buddhist monks
- Work in orphanages
- Encourage local churches and believers.
