Nestled between South Africa and Mozambique, Swaziland is a small but beautiful country whose obscurity has left the nation and its people forgotten to many. Filled with rolling hills, gorgeous mountain views, and miles of breathtaking countryside, Swaziland’s incredible landscape clues us into God’s dream for one of the last remaining monarchies on the continent.
Plagued by the highest prevalence of HIV/AIDS in the world, Swaziland is filled with thousands of HIV+ children who are orphaned, relying on struggling extended family to raise them, or turning to the streets. As a result, Swaziland’s youngest generation is often left malnourished, uneducated, and without hope. You can join us in helping to reverse the trajectory of this beautiful and forgotten nation.
Your team will work alongside our Adventures Swaziland Base, including both Swazi staff and missionaries. You’ll fall in love with the children at our Carepoints, spending quality time pouring the love of Jesus into their lives. You’ll also have opportunities to help with different aspects of community outreach and development. You will build relationships and help meet practical needs through construction, hospital ministry, teaching and discipleship, and home visits.
Potential ministry projects include construction on new and existing structures on and around Carepoint properties; helping plant, grow, and harvest community gardens; teaching at local preschools; helping with administrative tasks; building relationships and pouring into ministry partners; and connecting with people in hospitals and home visits through conversation, prayer, sharing Scripture, and encouragement.
