Romania is in the heart of Eastern Europe. The country is home to many Romanians who are familiar with the Orthodox Church and Roma people who are among the least reached in the country.
Among both groups, faithful Romanian missionaries are evangelizing, discipling, and planting churches and people are starting to choose to live for Jesus.
Ministry
During your time in Romania you will serve with our partner Hope Church, a community dedicated to impacting the community with the hope of Christ on a local, regional, and international level. Hope Church is a church planting ministry focused on relationship building, discipleship and service.
Children’s Ministry: You will have the opportunity to work closely with several of our dedicated missionaries who share your heart for children. You will assist the missionaries in the Kids Club Program by preparing Bible lessons and crafts, and playing games with the children.
Church Ministry: Partner and encourage a local church through sermons, worship, and sharing your testimonies.
Community Outreach: Pass out eye-glasses and Bibles to the people living in the community.
Intercessory Prayer: Every morning, you will have the opportunity to participate in intercessory prayer. This is a great way to connect and build deep relationships with our local missionary staff as they lead the prayer each morning at the church. You will also learn about the needs of Draganesti, Romania, and the Balkan region. This has been a favorite activity of teams in the past, and we look forward to partnering with you in prayer
Lodging
You’ll stay with your team in a dorm style guesthouse with bunk beds, hot showers, running water, and wifi. It will be a great place to spend time with the Lord, get to know your teammates, and rest before you head out to ministry each day.
Travel
The team will meet up at an airport in the US and then fly over together. The destination is Draganesti-Olt. We’ll fly into Bucharest and drive the 2 ½ hour drive to the ministry site. We’ll arrive together on Friday evening, have Saturday to get acclimated and have orientation before joining their church for service and then getting started on ministry on Sunday.
