Build pow-wow camps, friendships, and faith among the Dakota.
In May, you could help our ministry partners kick off the summer with a week of fun and fellowship for reservation youth. You could join the church’s youth to fan out across the reservation, inviting teens, distributing flyers, and meeting the people the Father puts in your path. After that, it’s all about sharing good times and talking about your struggles and victories in Jesus.
In July, your team could deliver an extra reach into the tribe for our partner church. The construction of tents and tipis on the pow-wow campgrounds demands a lot of sacrifice and sweat. Digging postholes, stretching canvas, erecting tipis to very exacting standards, and unloading tables and chairs all take time and energy. Setting up camp is especially hard on tribal elders and older visitors. The offer of extra, unexpected help brings grateful smiles and new friendships.
However your team serves, your time in Spirit Lake can make a lasting difference in the lives of local church leaders. These people sacrifice every day to bring a sense of hope and purpose to their neighbors, and your encouragement blesses them. Bring a team of Christ followers to help execute the God-given vision these faithful champions nurture for their community.
You’ll find relational ministry the challenge your team needs to break the mold of routine missions and kick-start some serious spiritual growth.
