Join us on a “World Race Inspired” Parent Short Term Missions Trip to Central America!
Over 11 months, you watched your son or daughter serve God throughout the world and come back changed; their transformation has inspired you.
In fact, you wanted to go on a trip like that too: to experience a mission trip that goes to multiple countries and dives deep into community—but you knew leaving for an extended amount of time was next to impossible.
But what about a trip to 3 countries in 1 month?
Join us for a 1 month adventure (including backpacks and feedback!), spending 1 week each in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.
The people of Central America are strong and come from a legacy of hard work, but years of discouragement have taken their toll. Many have fallen prey to poor economies, sometimes resulting in husbands leaving families to pursue jobs out of their countries. Many never return, leaving an unprecedented number of widows and orphans who have found themselves in this position due to abandonment, not death, and make sacrifices just to make ends meet.
The people of Central America need hope.
Your Route:
Your adventure will begin in Guatemala, where you will experience Training Camp and Launch before for partnering with the Adventures Guatemala base.
While in Guatemala, you will spend the first full week of ministry in the mountains of Guatemala serving an unreached people group in the mountain regions of Xenacoj, sharing the love of Christ with everyone you meet.
You’ll spend your final day in historic Antigua, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Then you will head for week 2 in El Salvador, the third largest economy in the region after Costa Rica and Panama and the smallest country (in land mass) in the Americas.
While in El Salvador, you will partner with a Salvadoran ministry to build relationships with those isolated from society, reminding them that they are seen and loved by God, before spending your final day in San Miguel.
In a land whose name translates to “The Savior”, you’ll be the signs that point to the one true Savior – not a better political system or economy – but Jesus Christ.
Finally, your trip will end in Nicaragua, the land of lakes and volcanoes, and the poorest nation in Central America. More than half the population lives beneath the poverty line. One in four Nicaraguans is starving or suffering from malnutrition.
In week 3, you will dive deep into the local community through relational ministry, outreaches, evangelism, and feeding programs. You will partner with local ministries to bring life giving hope and necessary service to indigenous people groups.
Then you’ll debrief in beachside San Juan del Sur before launching back into the real mission field (life).
Ministry:
While on your trip, you could serve through any of these ways:
Feeding Programs: Most of the countries will include feeding widows and orphans.
Construction: You will join a construction team in Guatemala pioneering a new, environmentally friendly construction method utilizing “earthbags” that can be seen here: https://youtu.be/WMNzoWkXTtc.
Teach English: Helping teach a basic understanding of the English language.
Medical Assistance: If you have a background in medical training you will help administer vaccinations and other needs. If not, you will assist in preparing and serving volunteers for a clinic.
Kids Ministry: Playing soccer, teaching VBS, and sharing the love of Christ through a child’s favorite language: fun.
Evangelism: You will share the Gospel as you travel through the various countries. Wherever you go, whatever you are doing, you will live your faith in an area of the world that desperately needs the hope of Christ.
Accommodations: Lodging, food and travel between countries will be similar to Parent Vision Trips and will not be as spartan as the World Race experience. You will experience a modicum of physical comfort while we try to push the boundaries of your personal and spiritual well being. We want to challenge you to leave your comfort zone while not forcing you to be physically uncomfortable.
Who Can Go? Anyone who is able-bodied and over the age of 45, couples or singles.
World Race Similarities: You will be a part of a squad with at least 2 separate teams and will experience a short, in-country Training Camp and Launch. You will bring backpacks, but not sleep in tents, and will work with team leaders, budgets, and coaches. You will also pioneer an exciting trip that has been highly anticipated for many years!
Will you share God’s love with the people of Central America?_____________________________________________________________________________________
