STM 2018 Nashville

You want your youth group to feel like they matter. You want them to feel significant, empowered, and for their lives to count for something. You read about the way the followers of Jesus lived in the first century, and you long for that kind of life — where living out your faith means hearing the voice of God and changing people’s lives.

You want to take your youth to the next level with God. You want changed lives.

Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through various short and long-term programs, Adventures In Missions helps people from all walks of life discover the world, who Jesus is, and what Jesus has called them to: making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and being his witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).

Imagine experiencing firsthand how to listen to the voice of God, serve others in high-need ministry contexts, and make a real, tangible difference in the lives of others.

If you want to join a Christ-centered community committed to doing what the first generation of disciples did, then it’s time for you to join us in…

Faith is an important part of Nashville’s heritage and character. From small neighborhood chapels to mega-churches, synagogues, and mosques, religion is woven into the fabric of the city’s culture. Nashville has a high homeless population. Of the 600,000 residents, more than twenty percent live below poverty level. Refugees from around the world have found safety in Nashville, but they face challenges adapting to the United States. Many come from temporary camps and have no skills or trade to produce an income.

Ministry

You will partner with a ministry in northern Nashville, focused on breaking the cycle of poverty through prioritizing children’s ministry and skills development. This includes:

  • Kids Ministry: You will teach VBS and participate in summer educational enrichment activities to bridge the gap from one school year to the next.
  • Community Outreach: You will volunteer with resource centers providing food and clothing resources to low income communities.
  • Urban Plunge: Share your faith while visiting the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, or take some time to explore the beautiful countryside on the outskirts of the city.

This trip is for your student ministry if:

  • Your students love playing with kids
  • You love having your students serve alongside established ministries in reaching their communities
  • Your students have a heart for the poor and disadvantaged
  • You want to challenge your students to grow in their faith while sharing God’s love with others

God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth. Will you join Him in Nashville?

Pray for Nashville

Many opportunities remain for missionary recruits in supportive ministries, church planting, and pioneer work. Pray for good church-mission relationships. Pray for the release of God’s power and purpose as we go into Nashville to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and heal the sick.
