STM 2018 Romania Men’s Construction Trip

From locations.adventures.org

Now a free country, Romania is recovering from communist rule under the Soviet Union from 1947-1989. It is quickly rising out of the impoverished state as economic and political reform provides a foundation for growth and prosperity for a new generation. Still, economic growth is an impossible dream for many families, who struggle for food and hope for the future.

The church is rising up to make a difference and bring hope to those who need it. Hope Church in Draganesti is spreading the good news to numerous communities and working to meet the needs of the people. Short-Term teams bring lift and momentum to their vision. More people can be reached, more families can be fed, more children can loved, more projects can be completed.

Ministry:

While in Romania, you will serve with Pastor Raul and Hope Church located in Draganesti-Olt, a small community 3 hours west of Bucharest. Your team’s ministry will be construction focused. Raul is in constant need of construction teams as they enhance their ability to meet the needs of the communities around them. This could be building or restoring homes, making additions to ministry buildings, adding a youth center for their church, etc.

In addition to construction, you may be able to help with the following:

  • Church Ministry: Encourage a local church through a sermon, worship, or sharing testimonies
  • Community Outreach: Through house visits and even giving food to low income families, you can give hope to those who need to hear it in the most important place in their lives, the home.

This trip is for you if:

You enjoy serving alongside established ministries in reaching their communities
You have a desire to work with other men and experience the Lord together
You are skilled in carpentry, electrical or plumbing work
You love ministry where you get to work with your hands and meet a tangible need
You want to grow in your faith while sharing God’s love with others

Will you come be a part of sharing the good news, meeting the needs of people, and expanding the church throughout Romania?
