An adventure awaits you in Washington, DC!

Millions visit our nation’s capital every year to learn about this country’s history.
Landmarks and modern museums dot tourist maps, offering millions of citizens and foreign visitors alike a glimpse into what makes America unique.
However, if these sightseers looked just beyond the monuments, they would discover a desperate city plagued by poverty, substance abuse, and crime.
While serving in Washington D.C, you can intercede for our nation while living your faith in the heart of the city.
Ministry:
You will serve in an area ready for economic, relational, and spiritual reconciliation through:
- Community Outreach: From conversations in parks to delivering meals and restoration projects, your primary ministry will be sharing your faith through relationships.
- Work Projects: There will be an opportunity for community development and home restoration projects, or you might work on creating a community garden and contribute to growth in sustainability and resource exposure.
- Homeless Ministry: You’ll have the opportunity to serve breakfast to at a shelter.
- Urban Plunge: In your free time you could take a cultural plunge in downtown DC, visiting the Smithsonian, a host of national monuments, and the three houses of government, all within a few blocks! And while adventuring through the city, you’ll have the opportunity to share your faith with every tourist and resident you see.
This trip is for people who:
- Love playing with kids
- Enjoy serving alongside established ministries in reaching their communities
- Have a heart for the poor and disadvantaged
- Want to grow in their faith while sharing God’s love with others
