Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through various short and long-term programs, Adventures helps people from all walks of life discover the world, who Jesus is, and what He has called them to: making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and being His witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).
You want to do something that matters. You want to feel empowered and to make an impact on the world around you. You read about the way the followers of Jesus lived in the first century, and something in you is longing to do more – to live out your faith, hear the voice of God, and display His love to those who need it.
You want to go deeper in your relationship with God. You want to see lives changed.
Imagine experiencing firsthand how to listen to the voice of God, serve others in high-need ministry contexts, and make a real difference in the lives of others.
If you want to join a Christ-centered community committed to doing what the first generation of disciples did, then it’s time for you to join us in…
From tropical coastlines to high, snowy mountains, Ecuador appears to have it all. The capital, Quito, is the highest capital city in the world, at over 9,300 feet above sea level. Its views are breathtaking, and its struggle to break out of the cycle of poverty is very, very real. Although prosperous on the whole, certain regions of Ecuador continue to struggle. The upper class is the most unreached group in Quito. Yet for those in the lower class, the poverty cycle is generational. In impoverished areas, it isn’t uncommon to see families with 12-15 members sharing a two bedroom home, skipping meals when there isn’t money to buy food.
Ministry
While in Ecuador, you will partner with a ministry called Inca Link, with over 40 church plants in Quito. You’ll visit orphanages, after-school programs, and you’ll partner with local churches for maintenance/construction. Ministry opportunities could look like:
Children’s Ministry: You’ll have an opportunity to interact with the local children and play sport, which will allow you to share the love of Christ through their favorite language: fun.
Work Projects: You could serve at a home for pregnant teens or a number of other organizations through light manual labor projects.
Community Outreach: Share the Gospel as you live your faith in every moment— walking to ministry, while eating breakfast, or visiting the Equator on your off day.
Lodging
You will stay at Inca Link’s base with bunk beds, bathrooms, showers, electricity, clean water, and wifi.
God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth. Will you join Him in Ecuador?
Many opportunities remain for missionary recruits in supportive ministries, church planting and pioneer work in the groups mentioned below. Pray for good church-mission relationships. The ever-present danger of administrative and financial paternalism threatens to impose Western patterns and stifle Ecuadorian initiatives.
