Utah – Youth

What is Needed:

Come to a land of deserts, rivers and mountains. See a lake similar to the Dead Sea amidst a land of temple and shrines to a man called a “prophet” of God. Hear stories of angelic visitations to a young man who later promoted the idea that obtaining a harem is the only way to experience the fullness of celestial glory. On this mission trip, you will discover a people that traveled on foot to what they called “Zion” after their founder was martyred. While in Utah, your team will be instructed in how to speak the truth in love to the Mormon people. Mormon’s will be invited to dinner at the mission house just minutes from Mormon teaching institutions at the local high schools, junior highs, and colleges.

What You Will Do:

Learn how 2 Timothy 2:23-26 and Romans 10:1-4 are the heartbeat of this opportunity to plant seeds of the truth in the hearts of so many who have been deceived. Your trip will involve reaching Mormons for Christ. Some opportunities that may be available include canvassing neighborhoods inviting Mormons to church and promoting our ministry partners Christian radio station. Others may be speaking and working at a Rescue Mission for the homeless, putting on a chapel service at a local school or working at a Christian camp.

How You Can Pray:

-Pray for the relationships you will form during your stay.
-Pray for our ministry partners in Utah.
-Practice hearing the Lord's voice through prayer walks, as this will be a part of your ministry.

About This Location:

This land is where holy books in addition to the Bible are considered sacred and deemed Scripture breathed from God. Joseph Smith founded the Mormon faith in 1830. Mormonism has grown to over 14 million followers worldwide. Much of this growth can be attributed to the efforts of more than 55,000 Mormon missionaries deployed around the world. Utah alone has more than one million Mormons calling it home.
