WR Alumni 2016 Trips-Philadelphia

Join our alumni trip to Philadelphia!

So, you’ve already done 11 countries in 11 months. You’ve seen God work in miraculous ways. You’ve witnessed the supernatural. And now you’re back in the States. Are you itching for an opportunity to get back out there?

Alumni Trips are an opportunity to reconnect with life on the mission field. Join fellow alumni to serve alongside some of our long-term missionaries. Whether you’re thinking about doing life overseas or just looking for a short term trip, this is your ticket.

In addition to this being a short term trip for alumni, it’s also an opportunity for you to share life on the mission field with your home community. Sign up and you can invite a friend, your family, or maybe someone from church. This could be a life changing experience for someone you know.

* Each alumnus can invite up to two guests on the trip.

* Alumni must have completed the World Race or Passport.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

You will join our partners on the streets of Philadelphia to bring hope and comfort to the homeless. Let your heart be softened as you meet them and listen to their stories. Restore their faith in Jesus as you remind them that he cherishes each one of them as individuals.

Or, you may encourage and influence inner city youth by offering free sports camps and share the word of Jesus while shooting hoops or tossing a football.

By meeting physical needs of the community by helping with a variety of service projects from park cleanup to community property maintenance, you’ll give the struggling people of Philadelphia a community they can take pride in.

During your free time, soak in our country’s history at the Liberty Bell or Independence Hall. Run in the footsteps of Rocky Balboa at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or visit the zoo or the aquarium.

Meet Our Long Term Missionaries – Frank & Elizabeth Varaso

This family of five lives and serves in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia under the covering of Adventures in Missions.

Their ministry has come to focus on building a community of Christ-centered homes and families in their neighborhood. They meet practical, emotional and spiritual needs of folks struggling with addiction, elderly neighbors, single moms, wayward teens, even the put-together employed folks who are beginning to move into their neighborhood.

Check out the video below to see what our life & ministry look like, in a nutshell.
