Join our alumni trip to Honduras!
So, you’ve already done 11 countries in 11 months. You’ve seen God work in miraculous ways. You’ve witnessed the supernatural. And now you’re back in the States. Are you itching for an opportunity to get back out there?
Alumni Trips are an opportunity to reconnect with life on the mission field. Join fellow alumni to serve alongside some of our long-term missionaries. Whether you’re thinking about doing life overseas or just looking for a short term trip, this is your ticket.
In addition to this being a short term trip for alumni, it’s also an opportunity for you to share life on the mission field with your home community. Sign up and you can invite a friend, your family, or maybe someone from church. This could be a life changing experience for someone you know.
* Each alumnus can invite up to two guests on the trip.
* Alumni must have completed the World Race or Passport.
Honduras
Honduras is full of history and beauty. From its mountains to ancient Mayan ruins to the sea, the country offers the diverse environment you expect in Central America. Masked by its beauty, the Honduran people are struggling.
Honduras is home to over eight million people, with 36 percent of the population under the age of 14. It’s also the third poorest country in the region, with 50 to 60 percent of the labor force either unemployed or underemployed.
Many families struggle daily to meet their basic needs, so they send their kids to the streets to beg or steal. The youth often join gangs and abuse drugs, such as paint thinner, to get high.
You will work with Tree of Life Ministries, who exist to provide spiritual, emotional, educational, and physical assistance to poor, orphaned, oppressed, abused, helpless, or disadvantaged children, adults, and communities.
Our vision is to love and care for orphans and poor or disadvantaged persons, meeting their needs emotionally, educationally, spiritually, and physically and sharing them with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Meet our missionaries in Honduras: Joe and Belkis Denton.
Tree of Life international was founded by Joe Denton. Joe was called by God to Honduras and moved there in 2011. Joe is married to Belkis who he met on his first trip to Honduras. Previous to his time in Honduras, Joe was a missionary in Guatemala. He has also worked for 20 years in marketing, business development, and technical writing for aerospace, mapping, DoD, Semiconductor, and other tech firms in Alabama, Texas, & Colorado.
The opportunities to help the people of Honduras are many. Will you join us in bringing Christ’s love to this nation?
