WR Alumni 2016 Trips-Guatemala

Join our alumni trip to Guatemala!

So, you’ve already done 11 countries in 11 months. You’ve seen God work in miraculous ways. You’ve witnessed the supernatural. And now you’re back in the States. Are you itching for an opportunity to get back out there?

Alumni Trips are an opportunity to reconnect with life on the mission field. Join fellow alumni to serve alongside some of our long-term missionaries. Whether you’re thinking about doing life overseas or just looking for a short term trip, this is your ticket.

In addition to this being a short term trip for alumni, it’s also an opportunity for you to share life on the mission field with your home community. Sign up and you can invite a friend, your family, or maybe someone from church. This could be a life changing experience for someone you know.

* Each alumnus can invite up to two guests on the trip.

* Alumni must have completed the World Race or Passport.

Antigua, Guatemala

Guatemala is rich in natural beauty- from the shores of Lake Atitlan to the peaks of its 37 volcanoes, this Central American nation is one of the most beautiful in the world.

Behind all this beauty lies the lingering pain of a 36-year civil war and several devastating natural disasters. These tragedies have left many Guatemalan people in extreme poverty, but the Guatemalan people take pride in their hospitality and warmly welcome visitors as long-lost friends.

Guatemala’s history dates back thousands of years. Visitors can experience the once mighty Mayan civilization, shop in local markets, or be captivated by the delightful people. You could even have the chance to visit the historic town of Antigua for shopping or other adventures.

Be touched by the beauty of the people here. Get a first-hand glimpse of their joy in spite of their meager resources. Find your own heart changed.

Working along side our Guatemala Base in Antigua, ministry this week could include prayer walks, hospital visits, partnering with local schools, orphanage ministry, and developing relationships in the community.

Our Adventures Guatemala Base serves the physically and spiritually orphaned through meeting practical needs such as shoe distribution and stove installation. In this, we hope to reach, disciple, and mobilize youth who are hungry for hope. We host CGA students and Adventures short-term mission trips, as well as send out locals on missions throughout their own country.
