WR Alumni 2016 Trips-Romania

Join our alumni trip to Romania!

So, you’ve already done 11 countries in 11 months. You’ve seen God work in miraculous ways. You’ve witnessed the supernatural. And now you’re back in the States. Are you itching for an opportunity to get back out there?

Alumni Trips are an opportunity to reconnect with life on the mission field. Join fellow alumni to serve alongside some of our long-term missionaries. Whether you’re thinking about doing life overseas or just looking for a short term trip, this is your ticket.

In addition to this being a short term trip for alumni, it’s also an opportunity for you to share life on the mission field with your home community. Sign up and you can invite a friend, your family, or maybe someone from church. This could be a life changing experience for someone you know.

* Each alumnus can invite up to two guests on the trip.

* Alumni must have completed the World Race or Passport.

Draganesti, Romania

Rural Romania reminds us of a bygone era. As the newest member of the European Union, Romania is quickly rising out of the impoverished state it entered during Soviet times. Economic and political reform provides a foundation for growth and prosperity for a new generation.

But this prosperity is out of reach for the millions of Romani people, often referred to as gypsies, who live a nomadic life within the country’s borders.

The Romani feel separated from a society that rejects their culture and way of life. The economic recovery in Romania has left them behind, but the Romani people are still precious to God. You’ll discover a new place in your heart as you bring them love and encouragement by connecting and building relationships with them and listening to their stories.

Hope Church exists to impact people with the hope of Christ from Draganesti-Olt to the ends of the earth.  This philosophy is being spread on local, regional and international levels.  We base our values on scripture and and from here we preach the Word and worship, spend time in prayer and intercession, give and serve, as well as promote small groups and building a relationship with God.  We allow spiritual freedom  while building character and working individually or in teams.

Our strategy is to utilize people, projects and partners to fulfill the goal of glorifying God with a ministry that resembles the one of Jesus Christ.  We focus on the five areas of discipleship, worship, evangelism, service and fellowship.

Meet our long-term missionary in Romania: Rachel Martin

You’ll be working with our long term missionary Rachel Martin (2011 Z Squad). She’s passionate about seeing the youth and communities of Draganesti come to know Christ.
