AI 2016: Ft. Apache – Whiteriver, AZ (June Trip)

Experience successful cross-cultural ministry with Apache teens.

More than a quarter of the population of Native American Reservations live in extreme poverty. Many Native American tribes struggle with alcoholism, depression and a high youth suicide rate.

The Fort Apache Reservation can be a daunting place. But for many years, an established youth ministry has helped illuminate the darkness there. God has used youth workers and their unconditional love for Apache teens to soften hearts at the Fort Apache Reservation. This has allowed our partners to share the hope and purpose they have in Jesus.

Every summer our partner church invests heavily in two major and very successful events: a June Camp Meeting/Revival and a July Youth Conference.  This summer, we want to again bring teams to support those events.

Through loving Apache teens unconditionally, God has softened hearts and allowed our partners to share the hope and purpose they have in Jesus.

You can make a difference in the lives of the Apache teens, and in those who will disciple them after you are gone.

Ministry:

While at Fort Apache, you will serve through:

From locations.adventures.org

  • Youth Ministry: Connect youth with Jesus through relationships and an annual Camp Meeting. Then you’ll join the Apache youth group and other local teens in community outreaches preceding, and during, the events. There will also be lots of fun activities like a cookout at a favorite swimming hole.  It’s hard to imagine a better opportunity to connect with local teens!
  • Host Ministry: In every mission among American Indians, we will devote significant time, energy, and resources to the encouragement and refreshment of spirit of our ministry partners. This includes the staff who pour into these students daily. You can breathe new life and laughter into any tired or discouraged hearts.

Will you be a light in the darkness and allow God to use you to bring love and joy into the lives of the youth of Fort Apache?
