Dramatic desert landscapes, snowy Andean hikes, beautiful blue coastline, and lush Amazon rainforest all make up the diverse South American country of Peru.
Even though the fingerprint of our Creator is all over this country, its people are intertwined in a fusion of Catholicism and traditional native religions. Just under a third of the population lives in poverty, with the selective prosperity based largely on the narcotic drug trade.
Many of the people in the Amazon River communities where your ministry will take place do not get visitors often – especially ones that bring the hope of the gospel. You will have the opportunity to bring love and joy to these communities and families.
Whether it’s through evangelism and VBS, or developing relationships at any level, you will have the chance to be Jesus to Peru.
Some prepared to trade daily showers and comfortable beds for river bathing, jungle hiking, and following the voice of the Holy Spirit into some of Peru’s most remote locations.
Will you stand up on behalf of these people and show them the Jesus that created their beautiful country and it’s people?
