You want to live a life that matters. You want to feel significant and empowered. You read about the followers of Jesus, and long for that kind of mission — where living out your faith means hearing the voice of God and changing lives.
You want to go to the next level with God. You want a community centered on Christ.
Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through our short and long-term programs, we help and train people from all walks of life to discover the world, who Jesus is, and what Jesus has called them to: to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and be his witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).
Experience firsthand the voice of God, serve others in high-need ministries, and make a real, tangible difference in the lives of others.
If you want to join a Christ-centered community committed to doing what the first generation of disciples did: sharing the Gospel, feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and hearing the voice of God… then it’s time for you to join us in…
In Romania you can expect breathtaking views, fascinating history, and hospitable friends. It is a country searching for hope and healing from a history of brokenness. Formerly part of the Soviet Union, Romania is quickly rising out of the impoverished state leftover from that era. Still, economic growth is an impossible dream for many orphans and widows, who struggle to for food and hope for the future.
Will you share the good news of being remembered by God with those who feel forgotten and alone?
While in Romania, you will serve with a strategic ministry partner and long-term missionary who focuses on empowering orphans and widows with finding trade skills and discovering their identities in Christ. Your team’s ministry will be customized to your unique skills, gifts, and heart for ministry. This could look like:
From VBS to after-school programs and everywhere in between, you can share the love of Jesus through kids’ favorite language: fun.
You’ll have the opportunity to share testimonies, sing, and pour into women in a local women’s Bible study.
Encourage a local church through a sermon, worship, or sharing testimonies.
Through house visits and distributing food to low-income families, you can give hope to those who need to hear it.
You could pass out copies of God’s Word or tracts to those who have never read it.
Teaching English is always a need! You’ll make relationships with your students and teach them a valuable skill (a second language) at the same time!
God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth. Will you join Him in Romania?
A legacy of brokenness endures from the days of Ceausescu’s regime, a moral vacuum being filled with every kind of social evil. Substance abuse, prostitution, pornography, human trafficking and challenges to child welfare are widespread. Romania has one of the highest abortion rates in the world, with three or more abortions for every child born. Poverty is still common, with widespread unemployment and economic instability, as a result of entrenched corruption. Divisions in government reduce its effectiveness; major strides forward are needed in its legal, education, and health care systems as well as police and local administrations. Pray for leadership that has the wisdom to chart the right path and the integrity to implement the right policies.
