Home to the Panama Canal and the largest rainforest outside of the Amazon, the country of Panama connects Central and South America. And thanks to the Canal, which connects the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic, Panama is one of the leading economies in Central America.
Ministry
In Panama, your ministry will be tailored according to the gifts of your team. This might include sports ministry, village and indigenous tribal outreach, a children’s camp, community outreach, work projects, Bible distribution, or elderly ministry. You will partner with a local organization seeking to create an orphanage, self-sustainable farm, and a college to help local indigenous tribes, all while showing the impact of a life transformed by Christ.
Lodging
You’ll be staying in a YWAM base with clean water, western toilets and showers, beds, and limited access to wifi.

Pray for Panama
Panama is developing into a sending nation. There are over 94 Panamanians serving cross-culturally, a number bound to increase. A number of agencies work to mobilize the Church into world missions (YWAM, AoG, Baptists, others). The network PAAM (“Panamanians Reaching the World”) is at the vital core of the movement and brings together dozens of ministries and denominations. The main obstacles to greater mission sending are lack of unity, lack of vision and lack of training.
