PP Summer 2018 South Asia

South Asia is, in a word, eclectic – in language, foods, and fashion. The opportunities you’ll find for ministry will be just as varied. Perhaps you already know about the poverty, the persecution of Christians, and the injustices (like forced prostitution and labor) that plague South Asia. PP Summer 2018 Thailand

Thailand Behind Thailand’s beautiful beaches, booming tourism, and the country’s ever-smiling faces lies a terrible secret: modern-day slavery fueled by poverty. Thailand’s red-light districts attract an ugly side of tourism. Families go into debt in order to pay for food, rent for their homes, or even to build bigger houses. It’s estimated that by 2050, Swaziland may cease to exist. Young orphans are scattered throughout this nation in desperate need of attention. For years, Adventures has been committed to seeing these statistics reversed. We believe the key to a nation’s future...

Join a team of men to serve God in Nicaragua! The poorest nation in Central America, almost 80% of Nicaraguans live on less than $2 a day. More than half the population lives beneath the poverty line. One in four Nicaraguans is starving or suffering from malnutrition. Grown men line the streets in the early morning, empty bottles still in their hands. It’s not uncommon to see kids stumbling around the neighborhood sniffing glue. Just outside the city is an enormous dump where dozens of families rummage through the sea of trash, looking for plastic bottles to recycle....
