B4A STM 2018 Trip to South Asia

Join a Beauty for Ashes trip to South Asia! (Women Only)

South Asia has one of the fastest growing economies in the world, but this growth comes at a cost.

Despite a growing middle class, a terrible rift exists between the rich and poor of this mainly Hindu country. More than just dollars and lifestyles, this gap began generations ago in the caste system, and it has left the lower-caste people of South Asia without hope.

In the South Asian culture, daughters are viewed as costly. Not only is a girl’s family expected to pay the expense associated with raising her but a bride-price, although outlawed, is still commonly expected by her future husband’s family.

In far too many cases, baby girls are killed or abandoned. Orphanages are filled with girls who have been dumped by their families and are desperate for love and attention.

Women in general are treated as second class citizens, as South Asia has a traditional, patriarchal society. They are expected to serve their husbands, as well as cook, clean, and take care of their children.

The women of South Asia need to know the truth about their worth and God’s great love for them.

Beauty for Ashes exists to share God’s restoration, hope, and healing with suffering and victimized women through ministry and training. Through Beauty for Ashes Retreats, women support and encourage each other by sharing their own stories and experiencing the healing, redeeming power of Jesus.

Will you share God’s love with women in South Asia?

While in South Asia, you will develop deep and meaningful relationships with the South Asian women you’ll minister to—and with your own team. You’ll also work alongside our Adventures South Asia Base. You can invest your time, love, and energy into this community of women confident that your efforts will be sustainable because of the long term presence of our ongoing women’s ministry in South Asia.

Your team will:

  • Be trained to help host Beauty for Ashes retreats, allowing God to bring hope, healing, and redemption to your story.
  • Learn from the testimonies of those on your team, as you grow closer to the Lord and minister to one another.
  • Facilitate retreat activities with the local South Asian women and be a part of what God is doing to restore their lives and stories.
  • Learn to share about topics such as worth, identity, healing and forgiveness with others, through storytelling and vulnerability.
  • Build meaningful relationships with your team and those whom you minister to, and leave with a deeper understanding of who God is, and who you are as His daughter.

Will you share freedom, restoration, and hope with women in South Asia?
