Teams urgently needed to support North American Indian Days

This July, our ministry partners want to invest in ministry to tribal elders and local youth during North American Indian Days. The huge celebration of the Blackfeet Nation draws tribal bands from both sides of the US/Canadian border.

In support of North American Indian Days, your team will serve in the week leading up to the big celebration.  Construction of tents and tipis on the pow-wow campgrounds demands a lot of sacrifice and sweat. Digging postholes, stretching canvas, erecting tipis to very exacting standards, and unloading tables and chairs, all take time and energy. The offer of extra, unexpected help brings grateful smiles and the potential for new friendships.

Your team will also help the tribe stage Blackfeet Youth Day, an annual celebration of tribal teens in carnival and games. A turnout of several hundred youth, from local and Canadian tribal bands, provides your chance to “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16.
