Because of the growing tourism industry, many Costa Rican families have abandoned self-sufficient farming for the work opportunities available in larger cities.
As a result, the country finds itself in the midst of a significant cultural change.
For those elevated in status by foreign investment, traditional morals and lifestyles have given way to a modern, consumer-oriented world. For those left behind, suffering and poverty remain.
Costa Rica needs your help.
Several of the poorer towns and villages of Costa Rica have little or no gospel presence. Your team may work to strengthen existing churches and help indigenous pastors plant churches in areas that have no access to God’s word.
You will have opportunities to serve the local churches by providing discipleship training and encouragement to its members.
You may also use drama, sport outreaches, street evangelism, children’s ministry, door-to-door visitation, and prayer walking to reach the people of Costa Rica with Jesus’ love.
