CtoC 2014 – Nicaragua

Nicaragua is known for its lively cultures, wonderful food, and beautiful beaches. This vibrant Latin American nation has the charm of Hispanic culture and a stunning geography. It seems like a Central American paradise.

But if you take a closer look, you’ll see that many of the people of Nicaragua are in ruin. Forty-eight percent of the population lives below the poverty line, and almost 80 percent live on less than $2 a day. Many children are orphaned because of the lack of resources to take care of them.

Come partner with the church and breathe the Holy Spirit back into a culture that needs the touch of God. You could bring the joy of unconditional love by playing with orphans. By investing in the education of the poor, you can help break this cycle of poverty.

After sharing your life with kids who need your love, you could share your testimony with the locals. While many of the country labels itself as “Catholic”, many of the churches are slowly losing consistent membership. By bringing the personal touch of Christ, you could see people moved by what God is doing in your life. Paired with translators, you could go to places that need a fresh look at what the Gospel is doing in the world.

Come partner with a church in Nicaragua and share God’s hope!
