World Race Alumni Trip to Cuba!
It’s about that time – time to reconnect with your World Race community! You’ll remember those 11 months for the rest of your life. But why stop there?
How about inviting a friend or family member to experience that same close-knit Kingdom community that you experienced on the Race? This time, you will not only reconnect with World Race Alumni and rekindle that fire, but you will also get to invite those closest to you into that.
On this World Race Alumni trip, you will travel to a location that we have been using for just over two years, the 500 year old city of Sancti Spiritus, Cuba. You will work with one of our most vibrant ministry contacts there as he leads a Cuban missions and church planting organization that has planted over 100 churches and sends out missionaries beyond their own borders. This trip will intentionally be less-structured than the World Race so as to allow the Holy Spirit more space to direct the trip as He sees fit. Jesus is much better at planning mission trips than we could ever be, so we’re going to let Him run with this one!
You will stay in Cuba’s gorgeous government run hostels, eat your food prepared over an open fire, and ride in vehicles pre-dating the 1950s. You may work on the church farm, lead men’s and women’s Bible study groups, visit and encourage new church plants and families, join in sports ministry for teenagers (baseball and soccer), and you may even find yourself on a Cuban beach.
Our hope is that you will connect with the Lord again as you did on the Race, and that you and your guest find yourselves empowered and alive in Him like never before, taking it all home TOGETHER.
