You’ve graduated from high school and applied to college. Maybe you've even spent a year in school. If you wanted to, you could start pursuing the American dream.
Or you could choose something different. You could choose to take hold of an unexpected opportunity.
The opportunity to see the world. The opportunity to change it.
We're here to offer you that choice.
Next year, you could spend nine months diving into three diverse regions: three months in Central America, three in Southeast Asia, and three in Africa. Interested? Keep reading.
Central America
Get your feet wet in Central America where beautiful landscape and booming tourism meet destitution and poverty. There's a variety of opportunities available to minister in this region.
Meet practical and spiritual needs as you serve in outreach programs to at risk youth. Serve a meal to families who make their homes in the dumps and slums.
You could teach spend time with youth trapped in drug addiction while caring for the elderly in the community.
Wherever you are, you can expect to be the hands and feet of Jesus to nations in desperate need of the gospel.
Southeast Asia
You may visit the Land of 1,000 Smiles or one of the Seven Wonders of the World, but everywhere in Southeast Asia one dark truth remains: the reality of modern-day slavery.
Here, you could build relationships with women in bars. Teach and equip women with trades-like cosmetology-that will help them leave prostitution for good. Intercession will cover all you do as you love and show these women their true worth.
You may also teach English in elementary schools or over coffee to university students. You might hike to remote villages to bring the gospel in new, growing churches. This region has an incredible range of ministry opportunities for you to be part of.
Africa
Venture into the land of Simba and Rafiki, but be prepared to encounter poverty as you've never experienced before.
Work with local partners to plant and build up churches and Bible schools. Fellowship with local church bodies as you build them up in the their faith.
Pray for the sick in hospitals. Play with kids and teach Bible studies. Go door-to-door and hut-to-hut sharing the love of Christ in seemingly hopeless places.
Immersion is not the traditional path. It’s not norm and doesn't meet the status quo. Immersion is for those looking for adventure and complete transformation.
Leave your mark on the world as you work to expand the kingdom. You'll find yourself changed.
Keep up with the current Immersion teams by reading their blogs!
Note: Immersion participants will be required to attend training camp six-eight weeks prior to leaving on their trip.
