Kingdom Journey Pioneers- Kazakhstan to Nepal

Kingdom Journeys: Pioneers
Kazakhstan to Nepal

This trip will pioneer a route overland from Almaty, Kazakhstan to Kathmandu, Nepal through Mongolia and Tibet. Participants will help scout route options from Kazakhstan to Western Mongolia, then help develop hosts in the country’s far west, home to indigenous Kazakhs. The team will then cross down through China, pioneering a route through Tibet overland on their way to Nepal.

The purpose of this trip is to do reconnaissance on route logistics and transportation options, gather country information (cost and safety), and find and develop potential men of peace. There is an urgent need for this information to prepare the way for upcoming Expedition squads.

Participants need to be adaptable, okay with long, arduous overland travel, and passionate about unreached people (specifically Central Asian people and Tibetan people). A strong logistical intuition and maturity is required, as participants will take responsibility for the majority of their own travel and accommodations.

  • Includes 5 days of training prior to this date, and 3-5 days of final debrief in Gainesville.
