Kingdom Journeys
Life with Jesus is about the journey.
We move quickly through life. In the midst of doing good in the world, we often forget to take time to refuel. This trip along the El Camino de Santiago (The Way of St. James) is a journey about slowing down, intentionally engaging in conversation, and taking each moment with reflection and purpose.
The Camino de Santiago is one of the most well-known and well-traveled pilgrimage routes on earth. This team will traverse the French Route in its entirety, beginning in the Pyrenees mountains of Southern France. Beyond the expectation of personal and corporate pilgrimage, the team will focus on outreach and evangelism to other Peregrinos (pilgrims) along the way, who are all, in one way or another, drawn to the Camino in search of something more.
Trip Dates: May 25 – July 9, 2018
Training and Debrief: Immediately before and after in Gainesville, GA
El Camino Path: You will hike the entire Camino de Santiago, beginning in Saint Jean Pied de Port (in France) and ending in Santiago de Compostela. This historic Spanish pilgrimage hike includes over 470 miles of scenic beauty and cultural wonder to gain the Compostela de Santiago, the official passport stamp of the pilgrimage.
All along the trail, you’ll experience unique, spontaneous ministry opportunities as you grow close to other hikers and speak into their lives. Seek and find where God is growing you when you find you have nothing more to depend on but him, and grow with like-minded travelers searching together for a deeper faith.
