Kingdom Journeys: Pioneers
West Africa
This trip will pioneer a portion of West Africa, traversing a route overland from Abidjan in Cote d’Ivoire to Cotonou in Benin, through the West African nations of Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, and Benin. Participants will help develop logistics in the region and find partners and men of peace, in order to increase the capacity of Adventures in Missions to send future teams to these countries.
There is an urgent upcoming need for this information to prepare the way for future teams. This team will serve to extend Adventures in Missions’ opportunity for ministry into West Africa, as well as provide participants who are burdened for this region an opportunity to activate their giftings within the region. The functions of the team will be primarily to find and develop potential partners and men of peace, and to do reconnaissance on country information, route logistics, and transportation options.
Participants need to be adaptable and intuitive, prepared for long overland travel, and passionate about unreached people (specifically West African groups). Participants are expected to have a strong spiritual and emotional foundation and perspective. Additionally, strong logistical intuition and maturity is required, as participants will take responsibility for the majority of their own travel and accommodations.
This trip is not the World Race. Participants will be expected to operate without a dependence on structure and supervision, operate from a place of work and contribution, and live in a way that reflects emotional and spiritual health, incorporating everything learned from the World Race and living it out.
This trip includes 3 days of training prior to launch. However, the launch date is subject to change (it may move back 1 week) in order to best accommodate a solution that fits our needs, the needs of the participants, and the best flight prices.
