Kingdom Journeys: Storytellers
Uganda Refugee Crisis

What is Happening In Uganda?

As the fighting in South Sudan has intensified, so has the flow of refugees to Uganda. The Invepi camp in Northern Uganda now receives about 3,000 refugees a day. The U.N. Refugee Agency estimates 86% of these refugees are women and children.

Many are fleeing from war, hunger and appalling acts of gender-based violence. As the refugee population settles in camps across the northern border of Uganda, they are met with minimal access to basic human necessities.

Adventures in Missions is working with a trusted partner, Uche Izuora http://uche.myadventures.org/, to provide food, water and shelter to the refugees in Northern Uganda. Future projects include building a field hospital with Pastor Salah James and a school for up to 600 refugee kids.

In Need of Missionaries with the Gift of Storytelling

This trip is specifically to mobilize a group of storytellers to document the realities of being a refugee in this region. Our goal is to share a variety of stories showing how God is moving in a place seemingly void of hope.

Through the power of media and storytelling, this team will lead the way for Adventures in Missions’ involvement in the Uganda Refugee Crisis. Join us to bring awareness and mobilize others into action to bring much needed relief through the transformative power of the Gospel.
