Las Vegas – Youth

What Is Needed:

Amidst the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip, lies a lost and depraved city crying out for the truth. Las Vegas is in a unique situation. It brings in billions in revenue with the help of over 300 casinos and hotels, yet leads the country in home foreclosures and school dropout rates. The city's tolerance for various forms of adult entertainment has earned it the title of “Sin City.” Aside from the overwhelming presence of drug, alcohol and gambling addictions, the area suffers from one of the highest suicide and divorce rates of the U.S. An unsettling number of homeless youth roam the streets, often falling victim to drugs, drinking, pornography, and prostitution. This mission will be a great opportunity to take your team through a week of ministry and cultural education on the streets of Las Vegas. As you build relationships with the locals in the community, you’ll be able to experience the culture beneath the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip.

What You Will Do:

Potential outreaches include evangelism, connecting with the local youth, and giving yourself away to the homeless. Las Vegas is a community in dire need of the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

How You Can Pray:

– Pray that God would break the bondage of addiction that has a hold on the city of Las Vegas.

– Pray that God will provide the residents of Las Vegas with a sense of hope, that they can overcome bondage to addiction, poor economic conditions or other negative influences.

– Pray that God will open up opportunities to share his truth with the lost in the Las Vegas community, as well as soften their hearts so that his word is well received.
