Just across our border, thousands of Mexicans live in makeshift houses constructed from materials they gathered at the city dump. Many of them have migrated to Matamoros because of its position at the southernmost tip of Texas. They expect to work in American owned factories, but many do not find work at all.
If they manage to find jobs, they often work for just pennies a day. At the same time, they face danger daily because of the recent war against the drug cartels that have killed thousands. These hard-working and hospitable people need to hear of the safety and provision available to them when they give their lives to Jesus.
You Will Make A Difference:
Working in various communities, you will hold a Vacation Bible School for local children, do construction and maintenance projects for people in need and share the Gospel with new friends you make along the way.
