While Nicaragua is known as the "land of lakes and volcanos," the people of this contuntry are even more beautiful than it's scenery.

Nicaragua’s rich history dates back to the Spanish conquistadores. It has thick rainforests, rugged highlands, long beaches, and fertile hills.

Yet the country’s beautiful landscape masks a harsh reality: Nicaragua is the poorest nation in Central America.

Almost 80% of Nicaraguans live on less than $2 a day.
More than half the population lives beneath the poverty line.
One in four Nicaraguans is starving or suffering from malnutrition.

Nicaragua needs your help.

Your team may partner with local ministries to bring hope to the disheartened. You’ll connect one-on-one with people in desperate need. You could have the opportunity to provide meals for undernourished families who are forced to sift through garbage dumps to make a living.

Bring Jesus to fearful souls when you have the opportunity to help provide physical shelter for the homeless and to people living in slums.

Feel God’s love made real.

Build relationships as you prove to the people you meet that they are precious to Jesus.

In your free time,  take in the historic architecture from colonial times, hike the lush forests, or simply relax on a long, sunny beach.
