In addition to being trapped in a form of Catholicism that is a mixture of tribal religions and cultural tradition, Guatemala is also home to families living in garbage dumps, orphanages with abandoned children, natural disasters like volcanic eruptions and mudslides, and overflowing prisons.
While in Guatemala you will partner with a local ministry just outside of Antigua,, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, through caring for widows and orphans.
You will have the opportunity to advance the kingdom of God by creating lasting relationships through evangelism, orphan ministry, and providing food/shelter relief to those who need it most.
Through being willing to feed the hungry, care for the sick, and help the poor, you will help reshape the futures of the people of Guatemala physically, spiritually, and economically.
You have the opportunity to serve the people of Guatemala in a practical ways, sharing the love of Christ with them through meeting tangible needs.
