An adventure awaits you in Mongolia!
Founded by Genghis Khan in 1206 and under communist rule for most of the 20th Century, Mongolia went through a democratic revolution in 1990 to become a parliamentary republic. Containing the Gobi Desert and very little arable land, Mongolia is the most sparsely populated country in the world. 30% of the population is nomadic.
The majority of the Mongolian people are either non-religious or Tibetan Buddhist.
Your team will partner with a local ministry in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, which is home to almost half of the country’s entire population. Through various outreaches and evangelism, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with college students and young professionals in a local church plant.
In addition, you will have an opportunity to travel to, stay with, and minister to a nomadic tribe while learning the nuances of their culture and traditions. Who knows, you might even stay in a yurt!
The opportunities for outreach are endless and so is the potential for this nation’s spiritual transformation.
The church needs encouragement, as well as help in their efforts to spread the Gospel. The people of Mongolia are highly independent, used to relying on themselves and their immediate communities for everything as they live and travel throughout the land. In one of the most remote nations on the planet, many have never heard of Jesus.
Is God calling you to share this Gospel in a land where his name isn’t known?
