Special – Guatemala

Adventures Guatemala exists to disciple the physically, spiritually, and emotionally orphaned. Guatemala has a long history ravaged by civil war that has left a generation without parents and leaders. Abuse, neglect, and instability are a present reality for many families—causing the home to be one of the most dangerous places for children.

The statistics are staggering. Yet beyond seemingly impossible percentages, here at the base we are much more interested in what it means to stop for the one.

It is our desire to partner alongside already established orphanages and children’s homes to help implement discipleship programs that will empower Guatemalans to walk in the truth of their identity as sons and daughters of the Most High.

As we go, we are being called to rise up as fathers and mothers to a country that is hungry and hurting. It is our greatest hope to see Guatemala become a sending nation; to see nationals rise up, to lead their generation in the way of Christ, and to be sent out to the nations to proclaim the Gospel.
