STM 2017 Zambia

An adventure awaits you in Zambia!

Zambia boasts one of the seven wonders of the world: the rushing heights of Victoria Falls, known as “the smoke that thunders”. It’s an entirely landlocked nation, touching eight sister countries and home to seventy-three tribes who speak twenty different languages.

Zambia became an independent nation in 1964 after years of British colonial rule. Since then, the economy has grown, but the Zambian people still suffer from poverty, short life expectancy, malnourishment, lack of clean water, and the AIDS crisis. Christianity is the official religion in Zambia, but the local church needs support for a solid Biblical foundation to raise up the next generation.

Ministry: Adventures partners with a ministry called JZone in Zambia. JZone works with various Churches both in urban and rural areas of Southern Province, Zambia, equipping and training the body of Christ. Your team will work alongside JZone in one or several of their ministry opportunities:

  • Kids Ministry: You will teach children the truth of Jesus during their Awana Program and outreach ministry.
  • School ministry: You will work in partnership with Scripture Union, working with youth in schools.
  • Orphan Ministry: You will join JZone in empowering orphans with the love of and hope of Jesus Christ.
  • Medical Missions: In partnership with the ministry of health, you could join JZone in taking basic medical care to the most remote communities and also help them develop health posts into medical clinics, teaching rural communities about health, development, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Widows Ministry: You could join JZone in serving a group of widows, empowering them with business skills and the Word of God. JZone also supports several of them, in addition to repairing or building homes when needed.

Will you partner with God’s heart for Zambia?
