From Saharan dunes to the peaks of the High Atlas, Morocco is an incredible opportunity for adventure. Morocco is a storied country that has ties to Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Its strong national identity is formed by its mixed Arab and Berber population. Predominately a Muslim country, we want to take the peace of personal and loving God to the people of Morocco. 

Ministry

We aim to be a blessing in the mountain villages. Our heart is to share God’s love and peace in places where there are injustice and lack of hope. You’ll trek into the High Atlas Mountains into remote and unreached villages to share the Gospel.

By coming here, you join in our prayers over these mountains. You give us an opportunity to get to villages and valleys we could never explore with commercial mountaineering groups, and you help us build relationships with remote mountain villagers. 

Expectations

• Enthusiasm, commitment, and physical fitness. We expect you to train in advance for a multi-day trek of up to 6 hours of walking per day.
• Prepared bible studies or personal testimonies for each evening. This is your responsibility and should be carefully prayed through and prepared before you arrive. 
• Leaders who can organize, motivate and encourage. 

Bringers of Peace

During your time here we encourage you to be witnesses through your lives and actions, not just through the words you share. “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father who is in heaven.” 

You are bringers of the Kingdom, bringers of peace. In every encounter, seek to show peace and love.

Pray for Morocco

Stability and relative openness make Morocco one of the West’s most favoured Arab nations. Yet a troubled past and uncertain future make for challenges. Economic growth is essential to care for and give hope to the burgeoning young population, and the deeply sensitive and controversial issue of Western Sahara continues to stand between Morocco and better foreign relations. Pray for wisdom for the government, that policies and planning might establish justice, fairness and openness.
